Is there anyone answering the phones at Google?

Ok, I don´t literally mean answering the phones, but is anyone at Google at least answering emails?

My guess is every Google employee is searching for paid links to penalize sites (like they did to mine). Why do I say this?

Well about 4 days ago I started a site targeted Adwords campaign. When after about 12 hours the campaign still wasn´t showing impressions I decided to email Google. Meanwhile I started two other Adwords for content (Adsense) campaigns on the same topic thinking I could have done something wrong setting up the site targeted campaign. Till this day these campaigns are still not showing impressions, although they are “active”. The problem is not with my account either, I have thousands of ad impressions every day from other campaigns.

Yesterday I was however able to start a live chat with customer support at Adwords. In a very evasive way he told me that content ads need to get approval first before they go live. I was told it usually takes about a day or so. I then told him that it had been three days. Without giving me much information the guy told me he would have the ads “re-reviewed”, which by its very nature means that they would have been already reviewed once, right?

I tried to ask the guy if this was a new policy, and when it went into effect, but you can just say he hung-up without answering my questions. I am not sure if this is a new policy, or if it just applies to certain accounts. The reason I say this is that a few months back my ads stopped running for a few days, and when I contacted customer support via live chat they said my account had been “reviewed”, not sure what that meant, and they wouldn´t tell me. But there is really noting to “review”. She did say that everything was ok and my ads went live again. It´s kind of funny I actually had to remind them!

Anyway, about 30 hours have passed since my live chat with the other guy and still nothing. So you know what I did? adwords sucks I paused all my campaigns except for the three that are suppose to be running! Here is a small sample of what my account looks like.

In the mean time I also sent Google this email (the live chat option is not available):

“This is my second email to you concerning this matter.

My first email, sent about 4 days ago, went unanswered.

My live chat yesterday proved worthless. Today the live chat option is not even available. I am sure you are all very busy searching for paid links.

I would like to know why my campaigns are not running after about 4 days. I pay for a service and I demand to be treated according to the money I pay. Yesterday, and this was news to me, I was informed that content ads now need to be approved before running. While I never heard of this before, does it take 4 days to approve the ads? I am sure you are all very busy trying to squash the competition, but please try to serve your customers.

I have paused all of my campaigns, except for the three in question, until this issue is taken care of. YPN and MSN both have great service and I no longer need to deal with this kind of an attitude from a company that thinks they ARE the internet.

Thank you”

How do you think this is going to turn out? Is Google dropping the ball?

Man I used to be a raving fan of Google, but lately they seem to have been taking every measure to figuratively piss all over us publishers and webmasters. You wouldn’t think they’d be going as far as to screw over a good portion of us (PR drop, lousy customer service) not to mention not say a word about why they’re dropping ranks all over, etc. They really seem to be shooting themselves in the foot, I’m interested to see what they’re actually doing. Make sure to keep us up to date on any reply from your letter, although I doubt you’ll get a response.

No response, but my campaign was active within two hours of them replying to this email…

Also, for no good reason, on of my blogs went from a PR 4 to a ZERO in about one week….

I have one TLA link sold on that blog, plus about one paid review.
